I actually cracked open the BG Euphoria pack for this itty bitty card. LOL

Three on my reader
I can't explain why I read this one, other than to say it's hilarious! Bubbah doesn't update often, but when he does, he totally understands his place in the food chain! :-D

I'm sure I found this site linked through one of my scrappy friends, but I love the challenges and think the DT is totally inspirational. :-)

This next one doesn't even come close to being scrap related. This blog belongs to a friend of ours who lives aboard their boat. We have met Mike and Mary in real life and they were gracious enough to show us around their floating home. His blog offers much knowledge and advice in the way of living aboard, which Glen and I are looking forward to in six years and 29 days. But who's counting? :-D

Stash challenge
As many of you know, I've been working on a recipe album for my dd, who just started her junior year at college. She requested that I have it done in time for her to move into her new home this year. Did I get it done? No. :-( So yesterday, she called for my credit card number to charge $639. worth of books. Faint! And oh, by the way, could I go to the post office right away and send her the business calc book she left here. Sure, no problem. :-/
Long story short, I busted it to get as much done as I could in her recipe album, so that I could surprise her by mailing it with her math book. It's only short 2 pages, but I figure I can get those done by next weekend, when my presence has been requested to see her new house.
Needless to say, they were really simple pages, but I was determined to use some stash that has been sitting around. Much of it was RAK items from YEARS ago, so if any of you are reading, THANK YOU AGAIN!!! The blank space you see on each page is room for photos if she wants them. I have to say, I have not enjoyed working on a 9 x 9 space. I thought this size would be perfect for a recipe album, but I think 8 1/2 x 11 would have been better. Oh, well, it's all but done. :-)
I believe this is Stampin Up paper from my scrappy friend Ginger.
No, Megan is not old enough to drink. She requested both of these recipes specifically. :-X
I used my new Threading Water punch again, and some REALLY OLD CM stickers from back in my consultant days.
This was some paper from Kristin and the turn and brad is from Jayne.
And last but not least, thanks to Colleen for the cool embossed paper.

Three things
Three important things that can be done in less than a minute:
1. Give a hug.
2. Smile.
3. Say "I love you."
I do all of these things every day. I find myself saying them more lately. So many of my friends are hurting, for various reasons. While this makes me sad, I hope that my love for them shows through in my words and actions. And our family is hurting. I'm not ready to go public just yet, but for those who know the intimate details, I'd like you to know that I appreciate the hugs and words of encouragement every day. So, I would encourage my readers to tell a friend today that you love them and appreciate them. It will make them feel good, and it will make you feel good knowing that you gave a piece of your heart, which took less than a minute. :-)

Wow, thanks to Colleen for the awesome recognition! You know I appreciate you and all my readers!

The sad news is, I can only choose five. :-( (Hmm, now thinking, what would happen if I picked all of y'all? Do I go to BFF jail?? Oh well, now is probably not the time to be ornary, right? LOL)

Hip Chicks
Finally! My mojo needed a kick in the pants and the August Scraplift Challenge at Scrapbook Heaven was just the thing to do it! It felt really good to create something I was happy with, so maybe it's here to stay? I'm hoping!
July 14th was deemed Happy Hippy Day by Peyton and her friend. They thought they were very cool, wearing my shirts. :rolling eyes: Guess that makes me a perpetual happy hippy? LOL TFL! :-)

My "Smile" card
This probably isn't the upbeat sentiment y'all were expecting from me. My card looks about how I feel, blah. These are lyrics to a Natalie Cole song, which for some reason, I listened to a lot when I went through my miscarriages, and still leaves me feeling meloncholy when I hear it. But it definitely fits my mood this week, so here ya go.

Blog challenge # 32
Put yourself in time out! Find the blankest wall where you are (it can be just part of a wall, if need be) and stare at it for 5 to 10 uninterrupted minutes. Write about the thoughts that went through your head while you stared.
