Happy July!

And you know what that means! Suzanne Says on Paper Whores starts tomorrow! :-D

I made my calendar using the scraplift challenge on Paper Secrets.

I'll be back soon with a few DT creations! Thanks for stopping by! :-)

HI!!!

I've been missing in action! Wanna know why, huh, huh, do ya? :-D I just got home from a week long vacay with my girlies! We went to St. Augustine and then on to Orlando to spend a few days with my BFF Karen, who pampered me royally. My girls and I made some forever memories. :-)

While I was gone, lots happened! Not the least of which is I was awarded a cool blog award by my friend Lolis.

Thank you Lolis, you're so sweet! :-) Now I get to pay it forward, but to only 5 people. How to choose! Well, you know, if you're reading this, then you're IT! :-D Because ALL of my scrappy friends inspire me. So thank you!

Let's see, what else... OH! Paper Whores will host it's first challenge starting July 1st! I'm pretty sure that y'all will like it, so come on over and join in on the fun! :-D

All too soon, it'll be July, and you know what that means... a new calendar page! I used a scraplift challenge from Paper Secrets, but even they haven't seen my creation yet, because you know, it's not July yet! :-D

It is my turn to host the new Creative Cookbooking challenge. Being as how it is officially summer, I thought it would be fun to do a challenge using a recipe that is used primarily used during summer time. In our house, that means Fried Green Tomatoes! YUMMO!!!

All of the new week 3 challenges are up at Ch{all}enge Masters, so be sure to check out those creative divas!

Okay, I think that's all for today. Wishing you all a very scrappy week! Thanks for stopping by! And I want to see your blog awards on those blogs! :-)

New challenges at Ch{all}enge Masters!

It's new challenge day at Ch{all}enge Masters! My sweet friend Terri, who knows how much I love my Kitchen Keepsakes album, has asked me to return to do one challenge each month and I of course am thrilled to!

It's June so for most people that means the grill is on, the stars are out and entertaining is about to move outdoors. This summer, make your outdoor space an extension of your indoor space by creating an inviting setting to entertain family and friends, take some photos of some backyard entertaining and then scrap it! Here is my layout of Memorial Day festivities. :-)

I will be strangely quiet this week. Wanna know why? Do ya, huh, huh, do ya? LOL I am taking my girls for an impromptu vacation to FL. Woo hoo!!! VERY excited about that! But I will be back next Sunday with another challenge on Creative Cookbooking. Hope you'll join me then! But don't wait until I return, Miss Kayla DuPont is in da house with lots of fun and a cool challenge with a RAK! Don't miss her! :-)

Have a scrappy week!

Photo weaves

Do you ever start a layout with one photo in mind and then change your mind and do something totally different? Thats what I did here and am really happy with it now! I used a photo weaving technique from Photo Jojo. Sorry for the bad photo, but I think you can see the weaving.

The day I started the layout (gasp! almost 2 weeks ago!) I got out paints and got messy! It was fun, but I just wasn't feeling it with the photo I was working with before.

Thanks to some of you for informing me what a PITA it was getting on my new forum. I've changed a couple of settings, so hopefully, there won't be any problems getting on. If it's still asking you to check for a confirmation email, check your spam folder! :-D

Exciting news!

Right now, it's JUST a forum, but I've got some ideas rolling around in my head, so we'll see how they progress. Obviously, this forum isn't for the faint of heart. You probably have a sense of humor if you see yourself as a paper whore. :-D Primarily the forum will serve as a venue for scrappers to share challenges from various challenge sites, with permission from those site owners, of course. All the better if challenge site owners come over to post their challenges themselves! And to chit chat and share creations and you know, all the stuff you do on other sites already. For now. Until I figure out exactly what I'm going to do. :-)

A big thanks to Stacey for finding the site design. And an even bigger thanks to my friend David for making everything look right. LOL And the biggest thanks to my husband Glen, who is always encouraging and supportive. I had an idea and he said "what are you waiting for?"

I still have some work to do... hoping to get some cooler smilies going on pretty soon, a gallery, and more, but it's pretty cool already and I hope all my scrappy friends will check out Paper Whores!

Thanks for stopping by and HOPEFULLY I'll have some scrappy stuff to share soon, now that I'm not busy with html. LOL Have a great week!

Happy June!

I hope you all had a lovely long weekend and remembered a soldier. :-)

Can you believe it? JUNE!!! I'm in a time warp or something. The girls and I start back to school in 1 month and 5 days. Crazy. I need to spend some time doing something that resembles summer time and not the usual craziness of life and spending way too much time on the computer. I haven't even looked at my scrap room in a week. :-( So, my scrappy friends, I will be making a concerted effort to be selfish this month, just in case you don't see me around much. Thanks for stopping by and have a great month!
