Goodbye August, hello September

Ahh, fall, I can almost smell it. The temps have been slightly cool for this time of year, very nice. :-)

Does anyone know where I can find a photo challenge? I SERIOUSLY need to get out of this rut I'm in. I'm so bored with pool photos, kid photos, and the landscape is just green. Nothing real interesting, I'm so... bored! Maybe what I need is a vacation. LOL

Thanks for stopping by! :-)

Can I get a WOOT?

Do you see, right over there ------->

Yep! I've been chosen to be the guest designer in October for Scrap for a Cure! I'm uber excited!

Scrap for a Cure is passionate about giving back and believes that one person can, will and does make a difference in the lives of others. What better way to share what we love with others than to offer exciting scrapbook kits and projects and donate 5% of total sales to the causes we hold dear. Founder of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Nancy G. Brinker, asked herself 25 years ago, “Could one person really make a difference?” Scrap for a Cure thinks so and does just that.

I hope my scrappy friends will come over and play with me and the rest of the very talented design team!

More from "the box"

I'm sad to say I haven't pulled out my camera for at least a couple of weeks, other than to take photos of my layouts. Sad, right? But it means that I'm getting some of my older photos scrapped.

This layout is for Peytons album. I used a sketch from 52 sketches...52 weeks.

This is another layout using a sketch from 52 sketches...52 weeks.

And this one is for Caitlyns album. I used a sketch from Scrapsketch.

I hope y'all are getting your scrap on! I'll be posting in a few days with the September calendar and some exciting news! :-)

Sad today

I was supposed to drive to GA to spend the weekend with Stace, but she is sick, sick, sick! Poor thing, hope you feel better soon, my friend! We will reschedule soon. I WAS going to wait to update until after I got back and show you all the cool stuff she taught me to do, but I guess I'll share my regular old creations with you. :-) I still haven't sat down long enough to figure out Photobucket, so we'll see what happens here. LOL

I really liked this photo and wanted it to be pretty. I'm happy with how it turned out. I cut the flowers from a really old piece of Basic Grey paper and the background is Fancy Pants.

Another layout of Caitlyn and her boyfriend. It's kinda blurry, but the title says "Whoo Loves You" and the journaling says that they plan on getting engaged in 4 years. :rolling eyes: Can you sense my skepticism? :-D The paper is K & Co.

And last but not least is a layout of Megan. She came home a couple of weeks ago and we had the best time visiting. :-) I doubt if you'll be able to see (depends on Photobucket! LOL) but I put different colored bling on the rub on border to the left of the photo. The paper is Sassafrass Lass.

Unless something spectacular happens (and it might! ;-) ) I will see you on September 1st with the new calendar page. Yes! September! Thanks for visiting! :-)

More layouts

I LOVE scrappy weekends after busy weeks. :-) I finished 3 layouts today and am scrapping the photos I took yesterday. Thanks for looking and I hope y'all are having scrappy weekends too! :-)

And a few of the pics I took of Caitlyn and her boyfriend yesterday. :-D

Young Love

I don't generally like to share such personal information on my scrappy blog, but I just had to! Caitlyn is 14 years old and her boyfriend drove 4 hours on his 17th birthday to be with her. Since she is so young, our rules apply and he was a sweetie about it. I actually had to prompt the "togetherness" in these photos. LOL Aren't these sweet? Look for these on a layout soon! :-)

Layout to share

Do you ever dream about scrapping? I mean, like, in detail, right down to paper and embellies? (can you say obsessed? LOL) I was wide awake at 4:30 a.m. and I wanted to get it scrapped before I forgot it, so I made a coffee and got busy. Not sure I'm diggin' my doodling, but it pretty much looks like I envisioned it would. :-)

I Heart You

Megan came home for a visit, and we're having so much fun! I got some cute pics of her and the sisters, which you should see scrapped very soon. :-)

Happy August!

August

Yea, I won't even say it. LOL Maybe THIS will be the month that life slows down. We'll see. And I know y'all are tired of seeing my layouts in all wacky sizes. I'm sorry! I must be an idiot to not be able to figure it out!

Just one more to share from this week. This is for my Book of Me. The journaling is hidden in the matchbook and talks about regrets in my life. Yes, there are a few.

Do Over

Thanks for looking and have a great week! "-)
